Design a book for children between the ages of 2-3yrs or 4-5yrs. Write your own short story and create your illustrations. For this exercise use only one appropriate font of your choice. Limit your choice of colors to 4. Look for materials to help assemble as well as where and how to print your final book. I created this children’s book simple color and figure design for pre-school age can understand what they are seeing and relating to a childhood question we were all asked. I chose not to give no real facial features and expressions to have a simple feel to the characters, while also making sure children can understand what the characters are doing and feeling. So they can follow along with whoever is reading it to them. I also chose to give the characters not real skin tones so whoever reads it doesn’t feel that this book is for certain people and to keep it all-inclusive.
